If you’d like to know a little more about the Home Heating Cost Reduction Obligation (HHCRO), you can go direct to Ofgem’s website to get the fine detail or read our abbreviated version below:
The HHCRO is a Government energy efficiency scheme for Great Britain. Its sole aim is to make heating your home more affordable. Energy saving measures available to you include cavity wall insulation, loft insulation, boiler repairs and boiler replacements. Households might even be eligible for a completely new central heating system if, for example, there is no heating or only storage heaters, but there must be a gas supply to the property.
As you know Blueflame will be installing free boilers, but you may be eligible for other energy efficiency improvements to your home.
To find out if you are, you should contact the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) or call 0300 060 400.
Please don’t forget that the funding for these measures is only available to households on qualifying benefits and who either own their home or rent privately.
The team at Blueflame are delighted to have been selected to install and commission new boilers under the Government’s HHCRO scheme. Installing boilers is something we know quite a lot about; we’ve been providing gas, oil, electrical and heating engineering services plus renewable energy and energy saving solutions across Essex, Suffolk and Norfolk for over 25 years.
Each member of our 40-strong team is a highly qualified and experienced engineer. We all undertake regular training to ensure we stay in touch with the latest developments and work to the highest prescribed standards. Naturally we are members of all the recognised industry bodies.
